"Just Picked" is a new Feature here at A Life Bound By Books. Each month I'll be sharing with you various picture books or younger kids books that I've come across that I think everyone with kids, or even adults will love to read or would even make a great coffee table book.

Title: Caramel Moon (Candy Faries, #3)
Author: Helen Perelman
Illustrator: Erica-Jane Waters
Publisher: Aladdin
Age Range: 4-8
Order Online: Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository
From: the Publisher, Thank You!

Synopsis: All the fairies expect to eat candy corn at the Harvest Festival, but the crop of candy corn is shrinking. Mellie the Caramel Fairy discovers the Chunchies are back and have been digging in the fields. Can she stop them?

Review: 4 Stars - Caramel Moon (Candy Fairies, #3) follows along with the same themes as the prior two books – that with good friends and team work you can always accomplish things. It’s a great message to pass along and I’m enjoying seeing how each of the characters, when faced with a problem have their fellow fairy friends to come to help.

These books continue to be cute, with fun illustrations that accompany the story. Kids will enjoy following along with the characters both in the writing and the pictures.

The candy land of sorts where the fairies live is described in a way that kids will be able to imagine. I could see my niece wanting to go live there among all the fairies and candy, and I’m looking forward to sharing these with her soon.

Title: Cool Mint (Candy Fairies, #4)
Author: Helen Perelman
Illustrator: Erica-Jane Waters
Publisher: Aladdin
Age Range: 4-8
Order Online: Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository
From: the Publisher, Thank You!

Synopsis: Dash the Mint Fairy is tasked with making a new candy cane throne for Princess Lolli. When Mogu the Sour Troll challenges Dash to a sledding race, the fate of the peppermint sticks hangs in the balance.

Review: 4 Stars - Cool Mint (Candy Fairies, #4) has a bit of playfulness to it as the smallest fairy – Dash - takes on the task of making a new candy cane throne out of the Peppermint sticks she grows in her part of the candy landscape, but also she’s preparing to take part in a big sledding race.

Her friends come to help her out with “growing” the Peppermint sticks as she practices in her new sled.

It’s easy to see how kids will love these books as the characters and their cuteness, the stories and Illustrations carry over from one book to the next. I know if I had books like these when I was 4 and up, I’d be excited to read a each over and over again.
